    Thanks Rob,
    All the dash this and dash that, EMD, GE, and CW stuff is probably like our Military parts. We had a dash designation for any change at all, even if one hex nut was changed from a cotter-keyed castleated type to a Ny-lok self locking type nut. I'm like you say, all the 2-8-0's look alike, they are black too. But all the diesel stream liners looked alike, just diferent colors, like today you don't know if it is a freight coming down the track, or a passenger. Like the man says, "Alley looky same!" :D

    Speaking of SD40-2`s I`ve been at the throttle of NS 6122 on the WSSB. We mostly use ex N&W 6000`s on one of our locals because we do a lot of switching without air and those Double Clasp Brakes will really hold on good. In the few months I`ve had at one time or another NS 6187,6129,6147,6184,and 6122. All of them have been pretty good motors except for being a little tired.
