A bad two days in east syracuse. a csx employee was killed when he drove across the tracks in path of a train backing . the flat car hit his pickup and flipped the pickup over and crushing it under the car and dragging it . than csx had derailment the next day . both things happend at the east syracuse yard
I do know that in light of the death a few weeks ago here in East Syracuse, the FRA is now asking the railroads to take a closer look at the use of Remote Controls. I have yet to read the whole article, but this is what I had heard on the local news here in the Syracuse area. JP
