Thank you Boxcab, Mike, and Peter!

I need your guys' opinions! Do you like the bare dirt at the top of the retaining wall in the photo above? Or the greenery that grew overnight in the photo below? I'm on the fence...

If I decide to go back to bare dirt, it won't be difficult to remove the Siflor and touch up the dirt.

I'm no expert but I like the grass only and I would add some weeds or such growing out from the cribbed wall in a few places. Your dirt is very realistic but I think the grass would've covered it up quickly. Just a thought. Your scenery skills are great.

Thank you, Jim! Yeah, I haven't spent much time on the area at the base of the retaining wall yet. I added the dirt at the foot of the wall during one session, and the initial layer of dirt later. It still needs another layer, and then grass (where there isn't the road/parking for the adjacent wharf.

I would also suggest adding some of the creeper you used on the hillside near the overpass. The South, especially here in Virginia, has what we call Virginia Creeper growing all over the place. There is a lot of in in the NC and SC too.

That greenery, to my eye, makes it look like the retaining wall was not just recently built. Unless you are trying for the newly constructed appearance, I like that added color. Hope you'll leave it.

Noah - if you want grass at the top, go with some less lush looking. With some bare spots, too. We are in a drought!

I like the greenery Noah but would add some vines or over hanging brush on Wall as well and some grass along spots along the foot of the wall as well. We'll done.

Trying to design my own layout based on yours, but using #6 turnouts and R13.75 and R15 curves. My door is 83 x 39...
    What do you think?

Normally a retaining wall that size would be required to have some sort of fence or possibly a railing at the top to prevent people from taking a plunge.
