I made quite a bit of progress this time. Most of the goal was accomplished by mid January but everything else was just gravy. I haven't had time to take the final pics but hopefully I will get them and post in the next couple of days. BTW, I do cross post on my construction thread regarding my progress.
OK - now some progress pics. The goal was to eliminate the "abyss" in the Spadra area. The track is 53+ inches above the floor so I wanted to protect against any fatal falls. Here is the area before east end and the west end Just bare bench work with no protection at all. Now I have at least some type of base scenery in place along with the fascia so I don't worry so much about trains hitting the floor. east end and the west end More plaster will find its way onto the layout in the coming weeks but right now I am in the mood to run trains for awhile and take a break from construction.
