Here's a little something to help imagine 28 footers in N scale! [IMG]

It's a BNAU 28' container-on-chassis riding on my AC Models Spine car. I kitbashed the container from a Con-cor 48 footer and bashed the chassis from a GHQ 48' kit.

Alan, are you going to do these too?

    Paul,

    Thanks for the comments [IMG]

I purchased the spine car pre-decorated. I think that there are some small decals that could still be added (I have the sheet, will do it someday!). There are some decals there that aren't showing up in the pic very well too.

The first of my 28ft stuff will be a container and chassis, but the UPS type, to be followed by the BN one, as in Russ' photo. These should be out in January.

Several types of 28ft trailers will folow as quickly as I can get the patterns made.

Paul, I think I should send you details of which decals go where on the spine cars [IMG]

Alan those pictures look fantastic I'm sure they will be a success for you as I at least need a dozen or so. Now something I read on another list that you might need to consider. There seems to be a trend towards ready to run rather than kits? what percentage of your spine cars were ready made compared to kit? For me I'd much rather buy ready made and pay a little more for it.
    just food for thought.
This would be the same for the Pups I'd be more prepared to buy a finished product.

Alan,I concur with Paul on the readymades.I would much rather buy them built up.One thing about the pups you could even paint them since 99% of them are white [IMG]

Alan, those look great...right down to the rivets! [IMG]

I think there's at least one 2 unit RTTX with 6 of those riding on it in my future! [IMG]

Anyone aware of any appropriate decals for the UPS style trailers and/or containers [IMG] I think I've heard that UPS will not approve using their name, reporting marks or anything for this purpose, and decals are not widely available [IMG]

    Russ:

Based on extensive research (I seen 'em a coupla times) I would guess that basically white trailers with the UPSZ reporting marks (use an alphabet set or start with USPS decals) is about all you need. The trailers don't seem to get near the decoration that the delivery cars (I think they still call them that) do.
