0n30 shay transformation

    Hi all, Been busy with this transformation for the last week. I liked the look of an open type cab in a photo I saw back in a 1999 Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette. So I set about doing mine.

    There's quite a difference! Is that a Bachmann? By chance do you have a view showing what you did to detail the inside of your new cab?

    Here I just got finished browsing thru the Internet Trains website, and I saw pics of Bachmann's T-boiler 2-truck Shay. What you did to yours is nothing short of awesome! It looks even more home-built by the shop crews, not to mention weathered from lots of use.

    I too would like to see the interior.

    VERY nice paul! I just pitty the enginner alittle! No seats! Or is that what the wooden piece is sticking out from the cab roof support? LOOKS GREAT THO! :D
