Well....while installing new traction tires on my GS4 the right side went with no problems but on the left side the plastic insert that the pin goes in was loose on the wheel before I even started working out the pin per the KATO instructions. I see that it has a indexing pin for locating the two parts together but it is not holding by pressing in, so I am trying a little Arleens glue in between. Now has this happen to anyone else & what did you do? should I just bite the bullet and buy a new drive set? Who of the TB dealers sells them. THX all.
Bill, You may try Top Hobby Trains or Fifer Hobby. Katousa dot com has the driver set in stock for $20.
Thanks for the info Harold, so far so good the repair seems to be holding. Ran it for a half hour on its own than added its twelve cars on and ran it for another half hour no problems. I guess there is not much force between the cap/rod/driver. Now only time will tell.
