Atlas is out of stock on part #480006 the screws that hold the frame halves together. Does anybody know of an alternate supplier of that screw?

To make it easier for others to respond, you might want to indicate what locomotive you are working on.

The #48006 screws appear to be used on virtually all the Atlas made in China locomotives that I checked, including in no logical order: GP7 GP40 SD24 and SD60M. You should be able to use the 45103 screws from a Atlas/Kato GP35 or any Kato frame screw such as 900040 which is used in the SD70MAC and probably many others. The worst that could happen would be that the screw would be too long and stick out beyond the frame, but that could be easily fixed with a file or saw.

Try your local hardware store. They usually have a aisle of smaller nuts, bolts, fasteners, washers, and such. I don't know if the big box home improvement guys carry these smaller ones. I've the neighborhood hardware within walking distance instead of 5 or so miles of mall traffic to get to the Lowes or Home Depot. So I rarely visit them unless lumber is needed.

I am having our factory send us some with the next sample shipment we get. Should only be a few days.

Now, there is a man that knows the meaning of "customer". Way to go Paul.
