I have been reading and re-reading your now 2 year old article in N Scale Railroading hoping to gird up the courage to jump in and try this conversion…. so far no swelling in the groin area… will order parts soon and hope my son and I can do this… He is interested in doing this kind of thing on his own… I am comfortable paying others to do this since my skills are lacking…. Your article has given me a glimmer of hope and courage will hopefully develop………. My question to you if you see this …. Any updates to your article you care to share… I think the sugar cube speaker from SBS will work….very new at this and very wet behind the ears…..thanks in advance…. PS -any other TB member's advice is welcome too...
So the rest of us know what you are referring to, are you asking about the F Unit Sound Install in the July/Aug 2014 issue? Bill has quite a few articles to his credit in NSR.
There was one update. I was able to also squeeze sound into the A unit using the smallest sugar cube speaker. Check out this thread: http://trainboard.com/highball/index.php?threads/sound-for-intermountain-f-units.76555/
Always a pleasure when a new magazine has one of Bill's articles. I've seen his work up close. It's incredible.
