Not when I went by and photographed them. The whole thing looked like it was a module or two out of a larger layout, set up for display.
Built this Chicago Great Western bay window caboose this week...#354. I think 354 was a cupola caboose at one time. I have an old RMC mag that has photos of CGW # 323 and it has the same diagonal bracing, but is a cupola caboose. Both have the newer scheme that includes the 'Lucky Strike' logo. My guess would be that #354 would have been used in transfer service.
Lots of irons in the stove. The PTTX car is close to being finished. Need to weather the pieces of lumber on the deck, and add random bits and pieces of stuff laying around. Naturally I found unloaded pictures after I got this one weathered and put together. Also picked up a Metra F40. I had $60 in credit at the local hobby shop. I'd say at $60 total, I did pretty good.
Yep. Another one of those superb little vignettes with a backstory. Yeah, big deal about the sagging sidewalk. Scribe a crack into it and who knows what happened. A hard winter, water main leak or both.
