I tried using alcohol to remove the fedex logo from my peterbilt but only succeeded at removing the paint. Luckily it was the top and not the doors. Has anyone else tried to take the lettering off these trucks? Sent from my LG-H631 using Tapatalk
I don't have any Trainworx trucks to experiment on, but I do use Scalecoat Wash Away to remove lettering on rolling stock I want to redecal. Wash Away usually works fast, so if you put a couple of drops on a Q-Tip and rub back and forth on the lettering, it may very well remove it without harming the paint job. Be sure to wipe away any excess as soon as the lettering is gone, otherwise it will remove the paint. Hope this helps.
Rather than remove the lettering from a pre-printed truck, it would probably be a lot less frustrating to purchase a pre-painted cab kit. So far, cab kits are available for the Peterbilt 350, 351 and 379 trucks as well as the Kenworth T800. All of the cab kits are available in 13 different colors. I would email Pat at Trainworx to request a copy of the 2016 N Scale Trucks Parts Catalog. Carter
In addition to the cab kits, you can purchase all the parts you need to build a complete truck. Here is a photo of a Trainworx Kenworth T800 I built from parts I purchased from Trainworx at the National N Scale Convention. Three different sleepers are also available, plus the wind deflectors (fairing) for the Peterbilt 379 and Kenworth T800. Carter
