The vast majority of us began small, learned and grew from there. Very few ever leap right into a large endeavor. Only time will tell where you and that youngster take this hobby. First and foremost, always have fun.
Thank You for the encouragement. I wouldn't have felt the fun of watching a train run a course that You just layed down if I hadn't gone to that estate sale. Most people want to make money on what they buy, but I saw the beauty in them, and knew that I could make someone happy with them. Little did I know that the friendship and fun of this hobb y was going to draw me in. This layout is going to my neighbor boy. The next one is going to make ME happy! These are not toys. They are the road to happiness. I think I'll make my layout through the Alps to Shangri La, and I'll probably croak before I find Shangri La, but maybe in this case Shangri La is the journey instead of the destination.
