I guess my cars are a first in any scale: Dynastack 40' 5-unit articulated well cars. The model shows the newest development in container well cars with a noticeable truss design rather then solid beams for the side. As usual the cars are made from 0.25mm nickel-silver etched parts. The cars shown are the prototype unit in NOKL reporting marks. As far as I know TTX has ordered 50 units of this design.
Seeing these makes me want to assemble my set now!!!!! Concentrate Tim, concentrate!!! Spine cars, Spine cars!!!! These look awesome!
The close coupled sets, really look nice, with the oversized and length couplers out from between. I have a set of Harald Freudenreich's modified to the same.
You've out done yourself, Gerd! Those look great! I've only seen these once, in a Union Pacific stacktrain going into Seattle a couple years ago. They were so new, you could smell the paint!
Very nice looking cars! A bit too new and rare for my era/locale though. And I understand these are "if you have to ask, then you can't afford it" type of products which is the double whammy. Happy to see others get 'em though...maybe I'll see some run somewhere eventually.
Have to weigh them, despite the are made from nickel-silver they are pretty light due to the fact there is not much material in the first place, but it gives you the option the fully load them with containers
I apologize for the blurry photo but this is Gerd's design of the Dyna-Stacks in nickel silver. I have yet to assemble it. It sits in a plastic box with multiple other wellcar kits, mostly from FR and some of mine. Gerd does awesome work on his etching designs. Hobo Tim
I bought a couple of your Maxi IV set's distributed through SBM [Loren/Karin] back in 2012 for around $250 a set I believe; painted/decal's/complete. Out of curiosity, how much are just his bare_fret's for the DynaStack 40 or...is that something you were told not to disclose on public forums or is censored? Thank's in advance!
Honestly, I do not remember what this one fret cost. This would be a conversation you will need to have one-on-one with Gerd. Trainboard moderators frown heavily on the wheeling & dealing of products outside of the correct forum room! Tim
