I saw a video on making trees with woodland scenic tree armatures, twine and coarse turf. First try. What do you think. It took about 1/2 hour for both trees.

That's pretty good, in my view. And an half hour for both is a very good production rate.

    Nice work!

Very nice. Where was the video? I'd like to see if I could as good a job.

Looks great! I got a WS kit(well, two... One large, one medium) for making trees. For the first couple, it took me about a half an hour. After making quite a few, I got it down to ten minutes per tree. And while one tree's glue was drying, I was starting on the next one. Also, if you pull the branches only onto one side , and only put leaf material on that side, the trees look great glued against a backdrop! JMS

Cool beans! Thanks for the video and the information.

One suggestion that might be helpful: mix two or even three colors of the turf to give it just a touch more realistic look.

Or... if you only using one color, sprinkle some ground turf that is a lighter color to represent "highlights" in the trees where the sun it hitting them! JMS

Stopped by the only place around that carries WS. Unfortunately their rack was about 2/3 empty. No armatures. :(
