I model Santa Fe circa 1985 so I will probably grab the per diem box car and maybe the FGE mechanical reefer.
LOL.... Obviously it is Ringling Brothers... for the past five years at least!!! Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
Depends on how desperate I am...maybe the Elwoods and maybe the WP gon (isn't that a foobie too?). Otherwise I'm safe. As for submitting pictures and ideas to MT, it seems to depend on who gets the email/mail. I've had several cars run from pictures I've submitted, but the last car I submitted I got a response back from someone I haven't heard from before (and I appreciate the response) but with a short 'ain't gonna happen' reply.
Send it to me Joe@micro-trains.com There may have been an issue I wasn't aware of. I'll check it out and see whats going on. Joe
Great, put all the pressure on me now... I actually think the car is just too basic but was hoping it would get done anyways. I may drop you an email anyways... Yosemite Valley...did they have any boxcars that MT has a body style for?
I sent a note to the LHS to hold the B&O stock cars for me. Not certain how many he will receive. Do not recall MTL releasing any B&O stock cars previously.
http://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=36233.0 this might be the best course. I tried this route and it worked pretty well actually.
http://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=36233.0 This is a good discussion of that point. Joe

Hello Joe... thanks for your input on this thread... always appreciate when a manufacturer gets involved on these boards! First... let me say that the variety of the April releases was excellent... but... mostly missed either by era or road name for me. Apart from the D&RGW tank car, I am considering some others releases in this lot... so all is not lost... LOL Let's see... what do I buy the most of from Micro-Trains... Tank cars built prior to 1960... and decorated with flashy graphics or western road name (like D&RGW) Reefer cars built before 1970... and decorated with flashy graphics (preferably one's that are prototypical or close-to, unlike the Elwood's) Many of those Pullman Heavyweights have found themselves a home with me... but... must be a western road name. How about some D&RGW??? I will buy from time to time western road name rolling stock... so I am considering the WP covered gondola this month since it is a pre-1970 scheme. I'm looking forward for some additional types of Heavyweight Pullman cars... anything else in the works???
Joe, Since you are taking suggestions on this forum, how about releasing your 70' "mail baggage car" in B&O "blue &gray" paint? It is actually much closer to a B&O prototype than the 60' RPO you have already released (and sold out) in that paint scheme. Steve
In my opinion the next logical MT heavyweight car would be a solarium car of some sort. Perhaps a 10 Section lounge obs solarium. Failing that I would like to see a "night" series all bedroom car... FWIW Randy
Joe: YGM BTW, I originally thought the WP gon this month was a foobie, but after checking the files, I was wrong. It really existed. I didn't think that the WP would spend that much time to paint a gon, but they did. Now I'm completely out of mistakes for the rest of the year.
How about just releasing the horse car in the SP prototype you based it on? I really do not understand the thought process at MT.
