Just received my recent purchase of intermodal stuff from a fellow Trainboard member.
Of the items purchased, 2 cars sets are cast metal well cars, in 4 car sets.
One set is a Blue APC Stack Train. The other set is a Red APL Liner Train.
However, neither of us know who made these cars!
Any information on WHO made these cars is appreciated!
Hoping, maybe, I can get some repair pieces.
Many of the plastic tabs holding the cars together are broken, or damaged somehow!
However, mas free cars, to do what I can with, I'm not gonna complain!!
Just getting started, trying to figure out what I have.
    Again,
    Information is much appreciated!

Was thinking Walthers, but wasn't sure!
I'll have to check deeper now!
    Appreciate the information!

A little more research, these cars were eventually picked up by DeLuxe Innovations.
Sounds like at least 1 run was done. Not sure if I can get parts. I'll have to contact DI later.
Sets I have, look to be the original Inter Rail cars, as they have casting flash and orange
    peel paint quality!

The GMM etched metal upgrade kits for the Walters well cars should fit these if DI doesn't have parts.

One part I gotta find, or figure out how to scratch build from strip
styrene, is the plastic bar between wells, that "couple" the cars together
    and hold the trucks!

Things may take a medium term back seat for a while!
Right wrist and left foot are messed up!! Again!!
Strained wrist is my guess. High INR(blood thinner) level at
a whopping 4.6. Should be down between 2.0 and 3.0.

They were made by interrail! I believe they were the first N well cars made. I still have instructions with mine.

They were 5-well cars. It looks like you are missing an end well for the red set and a center well for the blue set.

Keith, The well cars you are in question of were by Interail Intermodal Models released in 1989. They did 2 runs of a 1,000 per run split among 4 different paint and a few undec. In around 1997 sold with remaining inventory of some kits and parts.
