There's a place in New Jersey (aka Brooklyn.......) that's is showing them available.

    ?????????????
these haven't hit the stores yet...
I'm not sure where you say you're 'buying' them from, or where they are 'available', but they haven't even arrived in the US yet...perhaps you're buying them on reserve?...
and when they DO arrive in the stores and the usual online shops, the B units will be available as well...

Mine are in the Priority Mail system somewhere between New Jersey and Tucson. Should have them in a day or two.

kind of odd that a lot of us are demanding better detail these days yet kato F units remain unchanged for years (body, not chassis). intermountain F's have more detail as we all know. im not condemning kato by no means, hec im buying them now. I have 5 A's and 2 B's so far and will buy more of them. I want a pair of IM FT's santa fe in the earliest paint scheme but not even looking anymore. to me, kato F's are at reasonably priced for a top quality loco. just my thoughts...

Kato's mechanisms are far superior, and their F unit body shell captures the contours of the real deal much better than the IM units...a good, solid shell to ad detail that will look considerably better than the 'detailed' IM versions...

Beautiful, thanks. I like the grills and the openings behind them. Impressive.

Likely because the unit's number is painted on the nose.
