My only comment is that I would still like to see SNFF separated by scale. Looking at something done in O scale is not as interesting to me and seeing what my fellow N scalers have done.

    Agreed.

I bookmark TrainBoard directly to the N scale section and won't venture outside of that too often. I did the same thing at the Atlas Forum.

[IMG] Oh powers that be, please allow an SNFF to take place directly in the N scale forum! [IMG]

Another vote for keeping Sunday Night Photo Fun within the N scale forum.. There was a separate one in HO on the Atlas board. My main reason is the same as Jerry's, I've bookmarked the N scale forum on here. [IMG] [IMG]

I've got to agree. While we've gone great lengths in N scale, there's nothing like size to make a huge difference. I'm not too interested in what the larger scales are doing--that is, I'm interested as a reference, but not as an example of what can be done in N scale.

I found it much better having one topic in the inspection Pit.

For those of you who never venture out, you're missing out.

I like seeing the cross scale work.

If everyone made sure to put their scale tag in with theior post (individual responsibility), then I think it works out great...looks like a True model railroad Magazine.

I agree. However I know some folks want to streamline their online visits and not be tempted by a lot of other cool stuff that would take away from their time modeling. [IMG] It got to a point where I was on so many Yahoo email groops that I spent all my time reading mail. Sometimes you just have to cut back or start bouncing off the walls. [IMG]

ok did you all know we use a XML feed? This means you download feedreader and it will tell you when new topics are posted to this forum or new posts to existing topics are posted.

The links to the feedreader site and the topicss and posts setups are on the top header of this page.

    Paul,

Would you be so kind as to post a basic tutorial for us klutzes who have no clue what that is? It sounds like a great idea, but I'm not sure what it is exactly aand for sure I have no idea how to implement it [IMG]

OK once you download feedreader and set it up a small icon will appear in your task bar.

When somebody posts a new topic or new post to Trainboard your icon will rotate indicating a new topic or post has been posted.

By clicking on the icon you can see what topic has been posted, then click on the topic and it opens the topic in a new browser.

That is how I'm able to reply to topics quickly as feedreader tells me when someone has posted.

You IT boffins make that sound SO easy!! [IMG] I downloaded it and set it up, but all I see are reports about EU farm subsidies. And there's no discernible Help function. So... how does one delete the stuff you don't want and set up TB?

Just an off topic comment. This SNFF is international now. Wherever it starts determines when it starts. When it starts, it will go on for 36-48 hours, depending on when guys get to look at it. So, not being there at the start will not be a problem. And, it would be best if guys do not delete their photos within 24 hours of posting so all can get a chance to see them.

Does that make any sense? I was prompted to post this by Colonel's comment about the USA being "behind." He is correct in that Sunday starts first in Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia and begins last in Alaska, Hawaii, Midway, Guam or so. If we start SNFF in the USA, the rest of the world will be seeing it on Monday. Not a problem, but everyone should know what to expect.

Guam is on the other side. Don't you look down when you are flying over it and see the date line painted on the water of the Pacific Flash? :D
When I lived there, they used to say "America's day begins on Guam."
