Well we have made it once again, time to pull out those plans and see what we want to get done this weekend.

I finally have some time to work on my modules after about a 20 day run of being away for work, shows and other commitments. Still I had brief modeling spurts that helped to my end goal. Today I'll be getting the shop cleaned and spending a lot of time making decals for various projects in the near future. My buddy who had me paint his 2-rail O scale locomotive was so happy with the results that he dropped off 7 undecorated freight cars and a SD35. All require the Bloomer Line paint so it's off to the computer to make up some more fantasy Bloomer decals.

Saturday, I want to complete the task of laying all the cork foundation on the third and last module. This is simply filling in some small gaps and I hope will not take long. I bought a transformer and hook up kit for my Tam Valley Octopus turnout control at Springfield and would like to get that installed as well as fix one spot on module three that keeps tripping my circuit protection on the NCE DCC system. After I do some leveling and sanding of the modules, I want to start working on the various structures. It will be a change of pace and will start making the layout look like a layout.

So how about you? What is in the works for you this weekend? Let us know! We'll come back here on Monday the 15th and see how we all did. Don't forget, for those who are blessed with such, that Sunday is the day we treat our long suffering wives, girlfriends and significant others to some type of appreciation. Yup it's Valentines Day, you've been warned! Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

With V day Sunday I don't have anything planned. I hope to finish the locomotives and rolling stock I started painting Tuesday.

Looking to wrap up decaling and detailing my SW-1. Other than that -- probably not much more.

A couple of detail parts to finish a diesel critter; a finish window glazing on a caboose; continue assembling a box car and who knows what else....

I finished assembly (no detailing) of my 90' turntable last night since our club meeting was cancelled due to weather. The rest of the weekend will hopefully see laying down a base coat of paint on the homasote and transfer of track placement from my layout printout. Then I need to decide whether to lay down a whole bunch of cork or put track directly on the homasote. This section of the layout is almost entirely a town and the terminus of a short line so I think I only need raised roadbed on the last few feet on one end.

I'm hoping to get a new toy in the mail today and I may do some more work on my Walthers Freight Terminal kit. On Sunday, a friend and I are doing our annual trip to Sacramento for the 2016 Autorama Rod and Custom show.

Doing a little painting on my Interstate Oil kit. Bloody lot of pipes that need to be painted silver. I started this kit about 10 months ago then stuck it on a corner. Lovely day in the PNW today (rainy), so thought this kit and a pot of coffee would make the day go by a bit quicker.
