No ditchlight yet Mike so it may be held in captive helper service. Enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up eh???... We'll see what next op session holds. I have a feeling if Mills is the locomotive planner it will tacked onto a pair of 70mac's on a coal drag..... Gross.....

Of course the future for 101, and soon to be sister unit 102, holds piloting executive specials between freight pool assignments.

6 would be nice. All in the beautiful "Bluebonnet" ATSF scheme. Maybe one or two in Kodachrome.

I'm impressed at the level of detail on that N-scale F45! Even in HO (the scale of my choice) you seldom see anyone try to put in those see through radiator grilles on cowl F-units.

Just about the only change I'd make if I'm modeling in N... Shave off those cast-on grabs and put in bent-wire grabs instead. Otherwise, it's beautiful! [IMG] [IMG]

They will look even better in another colour, say a pleasent shade of green, I think cascade is the exact shade, maybe a black roof, ya that would look sharp. And bid white stripes on the nose, now your talking sexy.

    William,
If you are wanting pre 1972 I think you'd be using Microscale 60-12.
If you are wanting to do a yellowbonnet you'd use 60-619 which is EMD lettering.
    Hope this helps

Sandro - Oh well, I guess that is what fantacy schemes are for. [IMG]
Would be a lot easier to paint than a GN EB scheme. Might be called, "Huge Red Barns".

Come on Sandro you need something pretty to look at. Man cannot live on AC4400's and Geep 38's alone...

wow, very nice model, i've been watching this project, quietly wondering how it was coming along and just seen the finished results now.

hopefully, you'll have the kits available for more then just a short time! I'd love to eventually get a handful of those.

i was a bit too young to see them in cascade green, but def saw them in warbonnet colors
