N Scale Bridge Clearances

Hello fellow N Scalers!

I am wondering if you guys can tell me which bridges that is on the market that has the clearances for intermodal and automax rolling stock. Which brand of bridges that you guys have had success with clearance if those particular rolling stock.

Wouldn't just about any brand bridge do since you can control the height of the abutments on either side?

 

Are you looking for a truss bridge in particular? About how long?

 

Height under the bridge or through the bridge itself ? I believe most all the truss bridges made now will clear intermodal and autoracks thru the bridge. JMO

 

The older-style portals on the original version of the Central Valley truss bridge will not clear double stacks. They also make a version with a more modern plate portal that will clear all cars.

Otherwise, the other available truss bridges that I have examples of - Atlas, Kato single track, Tomix single track, Walthers dual track, Kato dual track, Tomix dual track - will handle all cars. I just tested them all with the worst-case car (Walthers car with two Walthers 48' containers).
