How about looking at the following (NS units notoriously had top-mounted ditchlights):

NS Dash 9's (Kato's only offered ditchlights on the pilots, and no anti-climbers on the rear)

SD40-2 (Some Kato SD40-2 models had ditchlights in front but not in back)

So, I'm thinking that the anti-climbers for the SD40-2 would cover a huge range of Spartan Cab style EMD's, and Dash 9 anti-climbers would cover probably most if not all of the wide cabs. The problem (at least for me) with trying to simply glue top-mounted ditchlight housings has been trying to glue them to the delrin walkway pieces. Delrin is self-lubricating and is therefore hard to bond to. Being that the housings stick up and have nothing the brace against, the surface area being bonded is very small. So the frustration comes from the difficulty of bonding and the ease of breakage afterword. My thought is if you make an anti-climber complete with the pair of supports on the underside, and the ditchlights built-in on the top, one could cut away an existing's models anti-climber (if equipped) and simply glue your part onto it. Usually the part of the model that the Delrin walkway snaps onto and includes the pilot and anti-climber is much easier to bond to. You could leave the back of the ditchlights hollow so they will accept LED's. The only other request I would have is that you leave the top of the anti-climber with a recess on the top (just like on the model) so that it will accept the original walkway. One could simply snip the original walkway a bit to fit over the new ditchlight housings.

See the anti-climber and pair of supports directly beneath it:

As long as they aren't astronomically expensive, I'd be thrilled to have these. I have a few Locos I have benched simply because I'm on the "ditchlight phase". Maybe I'm not alone here haha

I can take a look at what I can do with the SD40-2 ditchlight anticlimber first (as I have the anticlimber model uploaded and it would only be adding onto that. The Dash 9 anticlimber will probably take a little bit of time to get ready as I need to measure up some Kato parts to make it fit well.

For anybody looking to try out the new Micro Trains True Scale Couplers without being restricted to just the 1015 box, I have also uploaded a short and extended coupler box made specifically for the TSC. The main difference is the addition of the front pin where the shanks engage the box.
