A special customer project towards the release of the Amtrak GE P42 and Superliner cars. In comparison to the similar looking Superliner Cars those Parlour Cars are quit old, build in the 50' by Budd for ATSF. Main differences, apart from window and door settings, are a rounder roof shape and slightly different height.
Amtrak is still operating 5 refurbished Hi-level Lounges as Pacific Parlour Cars.
Like other cars in my line it's made from 0.25mm nickel-silver etching, rolling on modified MTL passenger car trucks in addition custom decals.

Hi Gerd, looks better than some of lager scales! Did you paint the nickel silver? It looks so much like the real cars.

Wow! Impressed with how you got that curve in the window area! That had to be difficult. Very nice!

The car has been painted, nickel-silver is not always coming spotless from the etcher. Some of the fine lines are borderline, but I think the whole impression is good.
Jeff, it looks simple, but bending the sheet metal into shape is fun...
