Is this a one-off special, or will this be the new standard? Looks good.

When I saw that label on the cab side, under unit number, I started thinking of what we've seen on past demonstrator units.

Probably not for the rest of the fleet any time soon. I imagine NS is squirreling away all spare cash for the probable fight with Hunter Harrison and CP.

From what I understand, this is the scheme being applied to the AC conversion units that NS is doing.

That would be great, it's a really nice scheme. I hope someone can get a hi-res telephoto shot so we can read the letters that Ken spotted below "4000".

I like it! The letters look like they read "DC to AC AC44CW"

Seems like someone took the old D&H PA scheme and did some pseudo hot rod flames instead of a warbonnet.

Looks pretty cool once you get used to it. A rather radical departure from the solid black scheme.

It's a "new" locomotive by Progress Rail, a PR43C. Likely not a new systemwide livery. They ought to paint it in CP and use it as a Trojan Horse to gain entry to CP HQ where they can sack Hunter Harrison's office.

Hmmm... gaining surreptitious entry into someone's office using a 200 ton locomotive...:cautious:

Sounds like a winner for the next Bond film plot!:p
