    Yep,
As questioned, does anyone know of a DCC/Sound decoder that
fits the Overland Models N Scale turbine?? Will be picking one up
from Denver tomorrow. Would love to add DCC and Sound to it.
Need to find out if anyone has done it, or can point me in the right direction!!
Or what pieces are necessary for installing DCC.

    Thanks.

Now that Imactually have the unit in question....
I'm looking to find out what DCC decoder will fit??
After checking, sound is NOT gonna happen!!
So, I'm interested in a straight DCC board.
Thinking TCS M-1 for both lead unit, and turbine.
Have several Digitrax DX-125 yet, but think they may be
slightly too big to fit properly.

And I need to figure out any headlight wiring, so as to get that
connected, without damage to lights and/or decoder!!
If I can't figure it out, it's gonna go on the shelf on permanent display!
    ANY help is much appreciated.
    Thanks.

I put a TSU-1000 in mine (B Unit) and a SoundTraxx non sound decoder in the A Unit. I had to do major modifications on the B unit to get it in there, but it is sweet!

Can we hear a clip of the sound? :)

Found several of the DZ143 decoders I have. Figure that should be good
enough for DCC operation. To make modifications to a unit, sounds like
a VERY expensive display piece, if a mistake is made!! That's too far out
of my comfort range to do, and probably too far out of my budget for a paid
    installation!!

I want to do a dry fit of the DZ143 decoders I have and see how everything fits
back together briefly, before deciding to go ahead and installing said chips into
my unit!! While sound would be great, I've decided it's beyond my ability.
I'd at least like to have something that looks good, on or off the track!

My own opinion, based on my own feelings about my abilities!
Nice to have, but not a requirement.

Oops, I meant a TSU -750. I will shoot a video & upload it plus I will pull the shells and get photos of the installs. Dz-143's would work well. Worst part is isolating the motors.

From what I could see, to isolate motors, I'm thinking all I need to do
is trim the tabs from motors to electrical board above. Then, using the
board for power pick up, I could solder my power wires to,the board, power
leads to motor brushes, and with a small gap in board, for lighting, I could attach
headlight wires to board also, after gapping, to isolate everything. Using the original
    Diode/resistor for headlight.

Be interested to see what and how you crammed DCC and sound into one of these things!
Can see a speaker, mounted in middle turbine unit, for sounds! Using that opening to aim speaker sounds.
Still, seems like a lot of work, that could lead to an expensive display only model!
