Thanks for the vote of confidence! I will try to get it built in this decade.

Since my benchwork is covered in dust from doing drywall work in the adjacent basement room, it's not presently conducive to photographing my recent purchases but I'll list some I scored at the last train show:

    - Accurail CF5750 RI bankruptcy blue covered hopper kit
    - three 86' auto box cars (Walthers NYC & PRR, and Athearn Wabash) 20 dollars for all three! woo!

I'm not a steam era modeler and have never owned an HO steam engine, but lost my mind recently and at the encouragement of my wife bought:

    - Intermountain 3rd run AC10 Southern Pacific cab forward with Lok Sound (now I'm going to have to pick up some appropriate freight cars and a caboose)

    - 5 Tangent PS3 Utah Rwy coal cars (toward a Utah Rwy coal train I'm building along with Bowser and Tangent UP coal cars)

    - 3 Atlas 50' plug door box cars (D&RGW orange/silver, D&RGW solid orange, PRR)

Suffice it to say my budget of August and Sept is totally shot!
    Cheers, Jim

Nice pile of models Jim. Heck the cab forward would look good pulling a string of passenger cars in different liveries. A nice rail fan type event. Kinda like this.

Athearn SD 70MAC, I picked this little gem up today at the Bixby Train Show for $60.00. Plans are to patch for BNSF, weather significantly and install sound.

It will be pink and white for sure. I got the sound in it tonight. I'm hooking up the LEDs next. Then I'll drill out for the grab irons and the paint will go on last. I'm using Tsunami sound, the only thing I'm not sure of is getting the ditch lights to flash if needed. Can any of you experts tell me if the ditch lights flashed when sounding the horn on the real SF units?

Very few of the 75s turned pink. That was a toaster (dash9) problem due to paint formula.

Thanks YoHo, I've got a road number in mind. I found a picture of it on Railnet the other night. I'll use it as a guide.

Now, the fp45 on display in Barstow which hasn't had a fresh coat of paint since she got superfleeted in 1989, she is pink, but even she is only pink on the side facing south. The north side is still a proper red.

My most recent purchase was a pack of people that I put on my Faller Kinderkarussell. I also pre-ordered the new Faller Wave Swinger.

I picked these up. Just need one more package of containers and a truck trailer for it. The station kit is to replace an old scratch built one that my dad made that seems way out of place on my layout for some reason.

I have one of these BLI Trackmobiles, possibly the only DCC loco I have that runs better on DC. o_O
Does anyone know what decoder is installed, a custom NCE one I think, but not sure ,
and what CV values work well with this ?
I plan to add some basic lighting so knowing the board model would be helpful.
