A quick search of both the Internet and some of my ME packages revealed no E-mail address. Still looking. John Moore
Thanks guys! Seems rather strange to me- ME is keeping a rather low profile. I wonder if when Atlas brought in their Code 55, did it dent sales of ME track, (more expensive), enough to do this? Boxcab E50
I wonder if when Atlas brought in their Code 55, did it dent sales of ME track, (more expensive), enough to do this? Probably not. Quite a number of companies don't maintain a web site since they don't market direct to the public but through retailers. Although ME has a good product in the code 55 arena it is still Peco on top and Atlas had problems in that you had to be running low profile wheelsets to sucessfully use it. A lot of folks, Myself included have older rosters of locos with deeper flanges and it is far too expensive to convert them. So Peco answers that problem. Plus thier three way, and wye turnouts are one of the few on the market in N scale. John Moore
Oops! A little confusion. I was looking for Micro Engineering. The link provided is to Miller Engineering. Boxcab e50
I can understand the fact that ME doesn't sell direct so they may not feel the need to have a site. However, from a business stand point I think they might sell (or at least hype things up a bit) more if they had a website. We all hear about people who can't find ME track and what not, but it IS available from ME the good majority (if not all) of the time. In other words, I think some retailers give ME a bad rap because they don't order ME's product regularly enough, likewise, ME doesn't have a website so they can't defend their situation. Oh well, guess they're happy with the way things are.
