I do know that they are coming out with that Veterans Tribe P42 Loco in the Fall. But that is being sold by Amtrak

Okay I couldn't hold myself back any longer. I sure wish that Kato would come out with the U50 SP of course. I know they won't but I just had to get that out of my system. And Con Cor will never do them; and I can't say that I'm upset about that....LOL
Aaah! I feel so much better now:confused:

Didn't ConCor do them many decades ago?

Yikes. If so, we need to have pictures as timed intervals. Then we can see the many differing shades of blue, as you may be holding for many years!

Concor has been announcing the rerun of the U-50's and UP turbines for YEARS (I think the first announcement was 2010). It's like they announce that they are going to run them and then are waiting until they get enough orders to pay for the run. I don't believe that they will ever be done...

They also take insecure credit card transactions online. I am surprised that they don't have an SSL

Yes they sure do tae insecure Credit Card info online. And if you call in your CC info just sits around on a desktop until?????? Yes if we wait for Con Cor to do the U50 it will never happen... I model SP also and have waited for years for someone else to do this model. Athearn did them in HO a few years ago; and did a nice job of them I must add. I had hoped that Athearn would produce an N Scale version but that never happened.
So I figured I'd throw it in here for Kato and hope :)

Insecure credit card transactions. *Shudders*. These days that is a very poor decision. It may keep people away from ordering, and even create a false sense of disinterest.

Speaking of Con-Cor, remember their failed attempt, a few years ago, to produce an SP cabforward? Yes, I fell into the reserve fee and it took me forever to get it refunded when they dropped the project. Since that time, I have only purchased one 50 foot boxcar from them. One thing about CC however is that what ever they produce, most likely they will put a black widow paint scheme on it. Us SP'ers should eat those up. Not! Or better yet, how about a daylight scheme on UP844. Got to have one of them!

They're right up at the top for fantasy schemes. Which confuse many folks....

No thanks; no CC for me insecure Credit Card transactions, failed build attempts, Rollingstock that you have to change the trucks on, and last but not least MAP pricing. If you want my $$$ at least guard my payment, and give me a product that is worth MAP pricing; i.e. Kato
Plus now a day there are more under models being produced so I can make my own if necessary

Any of the 'special' passenger trains that ConCor has done (Pioneer Zephyr, M10000, Aerotrain...) could have been produced as good or better by Kato and for a far lower MSRP. Unfortunately... Kato has their own agenda and it doesn't put USA on the top of the new product release timetable.

I am shocked no one guessed to only choice for new tooling. AEM-7 the toasters on rails. It fits right into what they are doing as of late with Amtrak. Then you have the commuter rails and think of the cars to go with them. Just a thought. What did I win. LOL

One last poke at Concor: My favorite was all the fantasy paint schemes they did on the GS-4...Pennsy really?!!

I went so far as to ask Athearn to do the U50 and the DDA40X when they posted the HO versions on Facebook. It'd be nice if they did.

    In that case, let's hope for a GP40P -2!
