I live in Pensacola Florida and a friend built me a beautiful n scale replica (actually about 12 x 24 inch of Masada. Seeing I am just beginning to do my layout and only have trains from the US, I thought it would be nice to have an Israeli "N" scale train running around Masada. Problem is I can't find a site that sells Israeli trains. Have gone on the internet to look and did find an N scale model railroad club in Israel but it is almost all in hebrew and not sure if there is even an email address on the site. Hopeing someone out in the forum has any email addresses that I can write to that would carry Israeli N scale trains? I have tried eBay and no luck there either.
I've never heard of any manufactured for that specific market. There may be some out there, but I have no idea where to start looking.
Here is a list of hobby shops in Israel with blog and/or email links. Though none list trains specifically, maybe some can answer your questions, or point you in the right direction.
The internet does have some information on the trains and equipment including pictures of the locos including steam. Maybe by identifying what they have you can find the equipment listed under some of the European outlets or possibly Kato. The steam looks like several of the European types along with the diesel. So probably finding the locos and cars will not be an issue. Decals, unless someone makes factory painted and lettered for Israeli roads, may be the biggest problem.
