I just received a mail from my local (i.e. German) dealer about some new cars announced by BLI in N scale.
They announce the NYC box car and the stock car, with and without sound.
These cars were announced some time ago for H0 and now in N. Said dealer also acts as the official BLI distributor for Germany or even Europe, so the announcement came before this information is on the BLI website (I just checked and found nothing about these cars in N).

I have the BLI hoppers for PRR (the cars that PRR leased from N&W and relettered PRR), and the PRR H32 covered hoppers. I did no detailed examinations with a magnifier or checks against drawings etc., but these cars are a welcome addition to my PRR fleet. And so I am happy that BLI continues to bring more N models.

On page 79 they show a N&W hopper.
It is painted for CSX. Foobies are OK, but man, at least shoot for consistency.

I'm not aware of any CSX hopper painted blue. If there was one out there like that, I'd love to see it.

    Standard CSX practice is:
Open hoppers- black (some newer ones aluminium)
    covered hoppers- SCL almond
    boxcars- blue

So a blue open hopped looks pretty strange.
Would love to know if any actually exit- but I doubt it.

    Ron-
If your statement is 100% correct it is My Bad. I looked back in my files and the photos I was working off of had a dark blue coloration to them which may have just been blue sky reflecting on the black cars. They sure looked like the same tone as CSX locomotives and box cars, although sometimes photos can be deceiving.
The N&W-style cars on the ATSF, BN, CP, CSX NS and UP are, of course, "phoobies" for those that want them. The N&W 17", N&W 24", PRR, B&O, IC and WAB are as close to their prototype N&W or ex-N&W cars as I could make them.
I'll be sure to change the CSX / NYC car to Black for you on the next run.

The PRR H2 hoppers (200 of them) were leased from N&W and lasted to late 7O's to early 80's still painted for PRR.
