Holy moly, I have a whole bag of those things from when my Grandmother was still alive and read Readers Digest. If they were actually selling at those prices I would dump them all on eBay tomorrow.
Thankfully it says "for display only." That helps somewhat. But the price is at least nine dollars too high....
We have a few on our club layout that are used as static displays. We keep them near the back of the layout so visitors can't see how bad they are! LOL Dean
But it's such a "faithful" reproduction of the original Bachmann Geep... which was done to roughly TT Scale...
Was that a GP35? Or a GP40? I had one of those a million years ago. Good back then, but thankfully an era now gone.

The High Speed engine and cars are what they are. Descriptions of products for sale often are without merit. Buyer Beware!! That being said the GP35 is a fairly decent copy of the Atlas/Kato GP35. The handrails and details have been ruggedized for the intended purpose of the items, but all in all not bad. Certainly not to recall the original Bachmann GP40 which was oversized to fit the motor available at the time. The cars are also decent copies of Atlas and Lima (and perhaps others) regular N Scale offerings. Somewhat reminiscent of the Aurora Mexico WDT, Bulkhead Flat, Covered Gondola, and ATSF Caboose of the mid 1970s. With a little work they can be converted to run....but since the originals are also fairly available at low prices, why? I keep on hoping that someday an importer making non-Model Railroad targeted N Scale size stuff would send over an model that isn't available in N. Some of the Del Prado / Silverline stuff is in this category but they are fairly crude renditions. Even some of the Hallmark Lionel Christmas ornaments work for N every so often (Old Time RPO, UP Stock Car, SP Cupola Caboose, and USRA Light Mikado) but many times they are too faithful to the Lionel O-27 or O "prototype" which has been stretched and bent to fit the tinplate theme....the recent "Torpedo" Streamlined K4 being a good example. Maybe some day they will pick the American Flyer B&O "Royal Blue" which if shrunk to N would fit right on a USRA 4-6-2 mechanism and I won't have to learn to "shrinky-dink" the AF shell I have set aside for that purpose! Scroll to the last picture and the bottom of the train it clearly says 'High Speed'. No drive shaft because there's no motor. No couplers...no drive rods. Another fine POS from High Speed.
I saw this listing. Either the seller has delusions of grandeur, or there will be an unhappy buyer- If anyone is silly enough to bid.
