Some time ago I saw a post about someone taking an HO scale vehicle and reducing it to N scale via a certain type of resin casting method. I am wanting to give it a try but I cant seem to find the post it was in. anyone remember this thread?
spent quite a while looking through the entire site. I was hoping someone at least remembered who posted it.
I think this is what you are looking for: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine...st-N-scale-vehicles-from-larger-scale-masters
LOL...beat me to it by a few minutes !! I had just searched under 'shrinking Ho scale vehicles" and found it on page 5 of the results... ^5
How to violate every copyright law out there--just shrink it down. But it is certainly OK for personal use, and often the only way to make some stuff.
I searched from Yahoo and used "site:trainboard.com/resin reduce" and it was the second one from the top. This seems to get more and better results than using the search feature here in the forum, plus it works for any forum.
I tied this method several years ago, lots of work/money, never got a finished product I was happy with.
I did a quick how to on the Railwire forum a little while back . Shrinkcasting HO scale vehicles to N scale. I had great results . I go by the name Plumcrazy on that forum
