Hi everyone, I am a new member of this forum, interested in HO Scale and my layout of Viet Nam Railroad is in progress. Here are some photos of my first layout,
Hey Tubetriode, welcome aboard. Nice photos of your layout, and I would suggest you post them again on the HO forum. Just out of curiosity with your "handle," do you know 6GB6's? I'm an old (yeah really) guy who once could repair electronics using tubes.
Welcome to TrainBoard! This is certainly a unique modeling effort. I do not recall ever seeing anyone modeling a Vietnam theme. More photos would be interesting. We could end up moving this to our HO Forum.
Thanks for replying my post. Actually I am interested in triode tube only. 6GB6 sounds unfamiliar to me.
Yes indeed! So I have to make a lot things either kitbashing and from scratch. It is time consuming but interesting.
That is some very impressive work. I'm definately looking forward to seeing more, especially with the degree of detail and completeness you've previewed here. Welcome aboard!
Hi Tubetriode, Welcome. You have very impressive detailing skills, we would like to see more. We also would like to know what materials you use for your scratch building, the building and fence are excellent.
I notice your photo of a model that appears to be a chain link fence with corrugated sheet metal behind it. I imagine this provides both the strength and discouragement-of-entry of the chain link, plus the privacy/ visual-screen of the metal. Is his common in Vietnam? Is it on industrial, residential neighorhoods, or certain kinds of districts?
correct. And one more thing I guess it is convenient for the staff to grow vegetables as you will see, they grow different kind of vegetables in the station. I think this fence was custom made, and could be used in industrial area.
