What a blast! The BAZ guys let me run with them, and I couldn't be happier in my (nearly complete) switch from N to Z scale. Check it out! Now to find some track and build a module......
Wow, that loco is hauling a--, uh, I mean, it is really moving right along. Glad you ran with the BAZ boys. A great bunch of Z enthusiasts. By all means, get going on some modules and have lots of fun in a smaller space.
She kept wanting to stall at lower speeds. Time for some driver mods/power pickup. Until then? Guess I am forced to run double headers! *opens wallet*
I had to watch the video again, I missed the sound the first time... now that you mention it it is pretty cool. We just have to put an old fish under the module to have the full seaside experience...
I put 2 MP3 players on that module, and made custom soundtracks that play wharf sounds on the left speaker and sawmill sounds on the right for both the old time sawmill side, and the modern sawmill side.
Nice stuff Robert! I went back and watched and listened again. I do agree with Loren why does the mikado stall at low speeds? Mine run very well at slow speeds very well. now pulling power ( at least for me) is another issue, but as far as running goes these are amazing.
It did run well at lower speeds, but there was just one trouble spot that kept catching us. I suspect I may have a driver out of gauge. It wasn't "full steam ahead" for the whole day! That just happened to be the speed of the moment, sometimes ya gotta highball!
