Has anyone heard when the n scale GMD-1 is going to be released? I was told December 2014 but thats all I know. The local stores have no idea and I havent heard back from Rapido yet.
They had some decorated models that I knew of as of a few weeks ago those were Canadian Heralds and I was looking for Undec, but then again there are different versions of them and they may have projected a release for December time frame. Best bet is to email them as I did for the info just given
From what I've heard, the N scale ones are in production right now and Rapido is expecting them to arrive early to mid January. So figure on dealers having them a week or so after that. Bob

Thanks for the update Puddington, please send extra NAR paint schemes to Calgary lol. I loved the GMD-1 N scale that was on a static diorama at this years Calgary trainshow.
I have no idea.... I'm a 1960's and 70's modeller so Gensets are out of my league but I know that someone will try... maybe wait for the B-B truck version which we hope to do in N scale net.
Neat Puddington, for me it's going to the Arizona Eastern Shortline. Those folks at Rapido are real nice to deal with also.

I spoke to the owner of one of the stores here in Calgary. Im getting a NAR paint scheme with dcc and sound. Much excite, such wow.
I have absolutely no use for a GMD-1 on my layout, but I am going to get one just because they are so cool.
My layout is a freelance idea of northern Alberta/BC so it will fit in. I love collecting the rare locos that are unique to a handful of railways etc.
