    Hello All,
I am about a year into modeling and I have a DCC ready MTH SD70M-2/SD70ace locomotive that I want to install sound in. I was wondering if anyone had experience placing sound decoders in these engines. I purchased a TSU GN1000 EMD 710 GC3-T2 decoder and I was wondering if this will fit or if anyone has installed this particular decoder? Thanks in advance for your input!

    Thanks,
    Rav

I know that installing sound is beyond my skills. MTH may make it more complicated.

Yes it can be done very easily. I'm sure there are instructions out there on how to do it.

Thanks Rich I spoke to Steve at ulrichmodels and he said that it may be a similar install to this one with some wiring differences.

Here are some updates. I have taken out the existing board and replaced with the tsunami sound decoder. I have wired everything except the lights since I have some new LED lights coming in the mail.
