That stuff was never hidden on the Atlas board, it was right in the Nscale forum, same for The Railwire. Where does Trainboard hide theirs?

Not sure what happened but it shouldn't have been reopened. It's been locked up tight again.

It's thread drift for sure, but I'd still rather see an "N-centric" weekend thread left in the N scale section. The special and weekend thread one is too out-of-the way (neither under N scale, or even under modeling), and has a rather high HO content. Just sayin'. Atlas "SNFF" threads were legendary.

I'm an N scale modeler,I come here, because it's an N scale specific forum.Only two other forums I've ever been on,Atlas and TRW,because they also covered everything about N on one page..I've looked at other forums, drives me nuts that they divide the topics into scenery, trackwork, electronics, diesel, steam, makes me insane..I look at one thing, see all I want to see,and I'm done..I spend too much time on the computer as it is,not going on safari looking for more to do..Those "couple of mouse clicks" are time I could be doing something else.

    100% in agreement, Randy.

The admins seem bent on making the place hard to use.

And it's not just Trainboard. TRW has done it's share as well.

I agree wholeheartedly. Maybe this should be the subject of a poll?

I was not aware that there was a photo topic on TRAINBOARD. I have recently done some work to my pike, so I will have GF find the camera. Because of the work, I have been able to run some of my protoype lettered equipment, again.

I am also sad that they deleted the new posts.

Well, if one of you guys want to start an "unofficial" SNFF in the N scale forum every Sunday Night, go for it.

Good luck. The Trainboard higher-ups have never taken feedback or criticism well. (constructive or otherwise)

I'm just happy to have a 24-Hour tab. That only took about 3 years, and after being ripped for suggesting it to them in the first place.

I don't know if N-scale has to have its own, but it would be cool. My only issue with the photo topics is that it seems they are inconsistent....some weeks they just don't seem to happen. Or maybe they're just not showing up in my feed for whatever reason.

I'm with you guys 100%. When I pop in to a forum, I look at the main N scale pages exclusively. Consequently, I find that posts that are made in (or moved to) more specialized subtopic pages tend to go unread (at least by me). In fact, I'm about ready to give up on TRW due to their anal-retentive obsession with moving stuff off the main N scale page and into other less-frequented pages.

Hey, it's not my forum and I'm not paying anything for the privilege of using it, so run it however you like. Just registering my opinion. And my opinion is that I prefer the way that the Atlas Forum was set up and moderated.

    Cheers,
    -Mark

I agree completely. I want to see stuff basically on one page for N scale. Don't want to hunt for stuff on every forum I go to. Don't understand the need to compartmentalize every topic to it's own page.

Compartmentalization of topics @TRW has been discussed all too frequently. What I don't understand is why people get all bound up about it.
When you go to TRW, simply hit the button marked "Show unread posts since last visit". Everything you'll want to see and fear you've missed is right there.
Or even better yet, set the Unread Posts as your bookmark to TRW so that whenever you go to the forum, that will automatically be where you are taken.

    Easy Peasy...

    Very.

Here we have three options, all atop of every forum page:

    "What's New"

    "New Posts"

    "24 Hours"

But...all 3 of those show multi scale posts when clicked on. I just want the N scale stuff. Dont wanna have to scroll all of it to try to find n scale specific posts.

    ;)

I just clicked on the "24 hour" tab..Ever ever see the Calvin & Hobbs when Hobbs is standing next to a fish tank with his mouth open like a baby bird,so,Calvin stands next to him,and does the same thing..Next pic,it has them spitting and gargling, and Calvin says:"Well, that certainly answered all of MY questions about Brine Shrimp.." ...LOL!!!

You know, coming here is like going to a club..You know everybody, and welcome new members..[Well,most of the time..] Now,you go somewhere else on the forum, and half the guys are total strangers, and it just feels weird, like I joined a new forum, and I'm feeling my weay around all over again..How many times does an HO guy show up here to post something, and you're wondering:"Who the heck is this? Have I missed this guy for ten years?" If I happen to come here and post a pic of a cool train I saw in front of my house,I feel like I'm showing it to my friends..If it gets moved, sure,I get a little upset..And,holding that train of thought, gotta run, there's actually a train coming,LOL!!
