MUCH better!!!! Qual & Acme could be on one siding vs 2 spurs. That's done alot by the real RRs.
Would be more "averse" to alot of 0-5-0 car & loco handling. Too much chance for damaging things especially little details. It wouldn't be too hard to use a spur of two for "staging tray". Cars are rolled on/off the trays then the trays are lifted off the layout & replaced by another loaded or empty tray.

Your plan is evolving very nicely!

Will you be using limited spotting options on plastics, fuel oil, and trucking spurs as a modified Inglenook? You may want to put the structure for Conner Trucking on the right side of the track so it isn't in the way of toothpick uncoupling.

Will the turnouts from the main to the siding and to Qual and Acme spurs be electric or manual? If manual, the structures in that area may need to be moved a little one way or the other to ease access.

the possibility of that being an inglenook hadn't directly occurred to me, but it does appear possible. As for Acme and Qual-Cytel, I don't want spurs where I have to move one business's cars out of the way to get to the other. Annoying to the business that's still loading/unloading. All turnouts are manual, but open parking spaces, roads, or alleys will make sure I can reach the turnouts.

as for staging, the very long interchange is specifically for staging either directly on it, adding on a cassette or linking to other railroads.

You could just as easily put a staging tray there also.
