I like the effect you get with the eraser. Could you use it to strip an entire car?

You certainly could. Not as good as my small media blaster but could be done with the eraser.

I especially like the treatment on that Rock Island car with the patching. Those Deluxe cars look pretty good!

Today Gavin was weathering a couple cars and here he is weathering his Atlas CSX 50' boxcar.
We have been coaching each other and studying Google for images.

    A few more,
First two are old Life-Like Evans boxcars that were detailed, painted, and had cushion underframes installed,

Nice work Bob, great execution and thoughtfully applied! Love the fades-beautifully done! What did you use for the cushion under frame, if anything? ESM makes a nice one that they sell from time to time, that I want to play around with on an MT Hy Cube. Craig

Yes, they are ESM underframes and they're very nice, especially with the BLMA trucks. Now if a couple of the promised scale size couplers would just become available....:eek:hboy:

Thanks Mike! Most if not all that I have learned to do has come from this forum. A lot of talented folks here.
