We'll, I finally decided to build my own indoor layout and I decided to model it in HOn30 (HOe). HOn30 is narrow gauge HO scale which runs on N scale track. I haven't figured out what I will do in the way of locomotives and rolling stock yet, but I will figure that out later. Now, let's get started on the build.

This is the space, it is 40 1/4 inches long, and 18 1/4 inches wide.

I started by using these small nails to test fit the track. After I had test fitted the track I proceeded to hot glue it down.

Interesting, I'm thinking about doing an HOn30 layout in just about the same space you have. Gonna be following this one closely, keep up the good work!

Keep the reports coming. I am curious as to what you create.

I know we have a fair number of folks here, who have indicated HOn30 in their profiles. Myself included.

Next, I hooked up a 9v battery to the tracks, and tested all the different pieces to make sure that electricity was flowing properly.
    Everything checked out fine!

I see that you are using N scale track. I am as well. Much cheaper and easier to find than HOn30 specific track. That was how the scale started and was for many years. I just bury mine in ballast, etc. WOrks great and looks plenty good.
