Does anyone know if a GP-38 has been made in CP Rails paint scheme on loco #3084. It's one of their heritage units. I see Athearn has it in HO scale but not N scale.
I don't believe that anyone has commercially made in plastic the very late body style that this locomotive uses. (GP38-2 with "laundry chute" style blower duct). That is not saying that it could not be done, but some effort will be required. A photo on another site shows that the prototype unit was just repainted in late April of this year. Mark
Atlas has run the GP-38 in CP Rail but did numbers 4502, 4508, 4510, and 4511 (all in the red scheme, not red and grey like the Athearn HO model). It looks like Kato also did a run of CP GP-38-2's in Pac-man paint, but they did 3085 (Kato 176-016). Hope that helps...
