Is it a prototype, freelanced or combination of the two. Can it be both or is that a contradiction in terms?

At any rate I think you are going to enjoy this video. Do you get the feeling John Allen, may have had some influence?

Click on You Tube in the frame to learn more about this layout and the man behind it.

I'm sorry to report: " Alas Earl passed away 1/3/2014. This is / was a great layout", as shared by B. Wilson.

Thanks Stu, glad you like the video's. The one thing I get from watching these, is inspiration to continue on with mine.

Here is Rob Spangler's, Western Pacific. Ride along in a high rail to view his railroad. If I read correctly this is a round robin group of guys and gals that get together on Operations Night to run trains on his layout. It starts off a little rough as it's the first time the camera crew has been out. Enjoy!

Nothing like the opportunity to visit a club and be invited and allowed to operate on it. Here is an accounting of such an experience.

I don't know if the sound has been dubbed in or that is NCE, DCC sound. At any rate, I like it.

Camera focus can make all the difference in the world. I had to bump-up the pixels to 360 for the picture to come through, without looking blurry.

Some guys will go to the extreme just so they can railfan their trains.

You'll get a kick out of this.

I have to plug this in here. I really like what the owner of the model railroad, in the previous post did with the tracks. Do you think he or she got the idea from this?

Looks like it, dosent it?It would be one of the hardest things to try to model I reckon and get it to work(train not derailing I mean)
The results of it done right are pretty stunning and a hell of good fun watching.
Trainboard could make that sort of thing into a contest.

Now that's a good idea. Who can engineer and lay the most realistic short line or maintenance required spur line?

Here's a model railroader that has my attention. His interest are similar to mine. The one exception he has a layout that's all but finished.
See if this doesn't capture your imagination.

Follow a Burlington Northern manifest train on Tim Dickinson's HO Scale model railroad empire. Through rail yards, long tunnels, curved trestles and more, hear and feel the rumble of realistic miniature railroading at its finest.

Way back in January the WMRC was invited by the Blissfield Model Railroad Club to come down and have an operating session on their layout. Their layout is modeled after the Clinchfield and C&O railroads (I'm not sure of what line exactly). The scenery is absolutely amazing and my camera does not do this layout justice, especially since my hand was shaking for some reason while we were there so sorry for the shaky video, as submitted by CPWindsorsub.

You'll need to watch it with a fast eye. Slow that camera down. Grin!
Grab a sandwich, favorite beverage, go to full screen bump the quality...uhh...err..pixels to 360 and enjoy.

There is one scene on the railroad that made this retired mortician feel right at home. Had to laugh to funny.
