Been working on a few projects for fellow Trainboard members. As you can see I am working on the Amtrak Phase II E-units (matching B's too) and ths NS F-units (with simulated ditch lights for now). I also printed up some decals for some new containers for the fun of it. Made the NS decals as I was not satisfied with the Microscale ones and the stripes on the Amtrak units are painted.
Wow! I'm jealous. Are the containers a real line or freelanced? They look good. The Amtrak stripes are incredible.
Very nicely done painting. On the F, just as a curiosity, did you paint the white or black first? Certainly a mix of eras represented there, and a part of Amtrak not really modelled that much, to my recollection.
The containers are real - they are Canadian. I put them on Con-Cor models (got a good deal on them). As for which paint came first it was the white, then black, and then silver. A tricky tape-off on the top of the nose.
That Amtrak Phase 2 unit looks outstanding. I really wish there were more PHI & II units available to go with all those amazing Kato passenger cars (Kato F40ph, Athearn FP45, etc).
That's a really nice paint and decal on the Tuxedo NS, a screaming deal actually. I need to PM you about a possible job.
Thanks. TVRR just PM or email me at jagowers2000@gmail.com on the NS units. I have done others since that I believe came out better. I can send you some pics. Jeff
