That's a great statement of the corporate culture at Union Pacific and it's not simply retorhical...As a corporate entity, the traditional American values of honoring our men and women who are or have been in service to the Nation, is manifest in real action and not simply words in PR statements, banners and media advertisements...It is, as described in this statement copied from the UPRR website news release, working as a one-on-one benefits program recognizing those who have chosen to "wirte the blank check" to Uncle Sam in service to their (our) country. Perhaps other American railroad entities have the same or similar programs...I do not know but as a non-veteran who is a longtime railfan of the Union Pacific, I am greatly proud to be so and I congratulate Union Pacific for such a stellar program and a shining example of a truly great American corporate culture.
