Friday, Jan 10th, 14, 13:05 Hrs. M.S.T. Hi Group, About a Year Ago or So, Exact Rail Was to Come Out With a "TTX Bulk End Flat Car". Something Happened and the Project Got Pushed Back etc. Just B 4 Christmas I Got Tipped Off That the Cars Would B Due Out in the New Year - Like January 2014. I Have SEEN the Cars at My L.H.S. and YES They Look Really GREAT. I'll Pick Up On of Each Design at Months End. Detail Looks Pretty Good. If Your Into Lumber or Heavy Loads, These Cars are For You. Cars Have Metal Wheels and Body Mounted Couplers. Cost About $30. See (NOT ALLOWED! See: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?106711-TrainBoard-Policy-on-Posts-About-Retailers ) to Get the Cars You Might Want. Enjoy, Operator.
$25.95 or so direct from Exactrail (in the USA anyway). I believe they have free shipping after a certain order amount is reached. And they advertise here on TB. https://www.exactrail.com/trenton-works-67-11-bulkhead-flat-car-forward-thinking-logo https://www.exactrail.com/trenton-works-67-11-bulkhead-flat-car-5-stripe-yellow-conspicuity https://www.exactrail.com/trenton-works-67-11-bulkhead-flat-car-3-stripe-white-conspicuity
No layout at this moment to run them but they are very nice cars!!!! A modern bulkhead flatcar has been long overdue!
Sun., Jan 12th,14 16:45 Hrs. M.S.T, Hi Group, Some One Told Me About a Year Ago, That N A R C Was Looking at a Cdn Version of the Bulk End Flat Car as the Cdn Version is About 3 Metres Longer Then the Standard Amcn Car. I Think the Bulk End Might B a Bit Higher but Not Sure. Being Cdn, I'd Sure Like to See B.C. Rail, C.P. Rail, & C.N. Way Back in the Early 80s if I'm Correct Micro Trains Came Out With a RED C.P Rail car. It Was Really Nice. B Great to See Some in B.C. Rail. Tnx, Operator,
Andrew, You don't have to post the date and time on your posts. The forum software does that automatically for you. Charlie
Prairie Shadows is now shipping their 70 ton Canadian bulkhead flat cars.... Here's a link to their stuff.... http://www.rapidotrains.com/psflat_n.html
I have one of Exactrail Trenton Works flats, and it's really all that, a bag of chips, and a Coke! And good news to see the 70 to Canadians shipping as I ordered one of those as well.
