I have a bunch of stuff left-over from my N Scale layout and I'm considering a Z Scale layout now, and was wondering what others have experienced. Thanks!

The ballast will probably be too large but the rest of your scenery stuff should work OK. Scenery products aren't that scale-specific....unless you're talking about crops or something like that. I've used just the tops of HO scale tobacco plants on my Z scale tobacco-farm humidor.

I agree, the N scale ballast is going to look too big, but grass and trees are fine.

Here on the Left Coast most of us (Z-Bend module guyZ) used Arizona Rock N-scale, even Woodland Scenics fine ballast. You can't tell it's N-scale when applied on the right way.

I concur with Lajos, I have used two different colors of Arizona Rock N-scale blended together to ballast all my track on my LIRR Z scale layout and it looks great!
