Pardon what's probably a silly question, but if the Kato Maxi-I cars are run on wide enough radiused curves, will 45' or 48' containers clear one another in the top position (not every one, of course, but maybe 1 or 2) if the rest are forty footers? The lowers, of course, will be 40 footers or a couple of 20 footers... I am more or less dating my operation/equipment by not running Maxi-3's (or whatever) and 53' containers...the real ones are too dang big, and so are the N-scale ones! Considered keeping to 40' containers, but there's several nice 45 and 48 footers available.... Tim
The prototypes are allowed up to 48' containers in the upper position, or 53' containers in the upper position for A, D, B, and 40' containers for E and C. Bear in mind that the flat-sided wells as modelled by Kato are fairly modern cars. Adrian
