Hi friends Here are a couple of locomotives that I would love to see made in either plastic or brass. ATSF Box Cab 1A & 1B http://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/tr_sf1A.jpg and ATSF 3800 class 2-10-2 http://www.railfan.net/cgi-bin/thumb/abprphoto.cgi?/railpix/ABPR/november01/11-20-01/at_sf3940.jpg The El Capitan passenger train has been made in brass by Hallmark years ago but it would be nice if this complete train was made in either plastic or brass sides. I believe the above three items would be very popular to just about any ATSF modeler, and maybe a few that do not model the Santa Fe.
My ATSF want list. GP60's, GP60M's, SD45-2's, GP39-2's SD39-2's, SDFP45's SDF45's, SDF40-2's, ATSF home built 60' boxcars, 10 Pack Fuel Foiulers, a good MOW truck, and lots more decals. Brian

Layout #2 for me will be based on Raton Pass in 1953. So for me my list would include: 2900 class 3751 class 5000 class Steam switchers? (though all may have been phased out by '53) RSD4/5 Baggage express cars El Cap lunch counter/diners various heavyweight coachs and sleepers (If Walthers would do their HO scale heavyweights in N I'd be extactic) The rest of the list would be things I'd buy anyways: RSD15 GP60M GP60B Hi-Level El Cap Cowl units (FP45?)
I second Brian's list! OBTW, Athearn makes the SD75M - I've got one and it's nice. I had to pick through 4 different ones at the LHS to get one to my liking (warped sills and running qualities), but it's up to par IMHO. Another run of Life Like GP60s would be nice, and GP60Ms and 60B's would be awesome. Cowl units would be way cool also. How come no-one has mentioned C40-8W's? Those and the 60Ms/60B's are top on my list Can't wait to get my Kato SD40-2's from the new announcement!
This may seem heretic in the religion of the railroad of the Holy Faith, but--- I have all the locomotive types I need. Might want more, or upgraded. What I would like: #1 Santa Fe heavyweight coach with 10 wide windows each side and channel side sill. #2 BX 3/6 panel-side boxcars #3 Home rebuilds of USRA wood-sheath boxcars to steel side #4 Home rebuilds of wood reefers to steel side Lower priority, possibly kitbashes or scratchbuilds-- BX-O battleship side-sill boxcar "reefer standards" boxcar in salt service (I need to hurry up and buy the car sides for the Texas Chief streamlined divided coach) (and I can probably kitbash more sulphur gondolas) And glad I've got 4 Fine N Scale Caswell drop-bottom gons.
Did the GP40X use the same frame as the GP40? If so since UP, SP & ATSF had them it is a no brainer for Atlas to do that unit. One ended up in Alamosa for a couple years in HLCX paint which is sexy as heck for a lease unit. Also some ended up in the NE. I still want the U23B U23C SF30C SF30B U36C RSD15 DL600a CF7
Santa Fe all the way Great post Bob. Haven't seen you post in a while. I would like to see all the above mentioned stuff, especially RDS-15's.
RSD-15 seconded or thirded, or fourthed (how ever many times) El Capitan (undec though, i got some home brew ideas for them) (con cor could make a killing of these) Thats it for now For the DL600a guys, here is some love (courtesy of www.aat-net.de/ broadway/201330.jpg)
