I model in HO scale and am wondering if there are any good types of overcoat to use on models that still are availible in a spray can. I need to find a flat overcoat for a project that I am going to be starting. I would like to find something that is not to thick for my models. All the brands that I have tried start yellow after spraying or they leave white dots. NEED HELP FINDING SOMETHING THAT IS RELIABLE!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I've always had good results using Testors Dullcoat. I model in N scale and it goes on thin enough, and dries clear (no color). Never had any white dots. What have you tried?

Testors Dullcote's the way to go. I model N-scale and it doesn't hide details, dries quickly and is FLAT.

    Cheerio!

Absolutely, Dullcoat. Here's an example of a freight car that started as an undecorated car about 25 years ago. IMAG0269.jpg

Never had any trouble with Dullcote. Reliable and good coverage.
