I become 59yo Saturday, September 14th. at about 8AM. Soooo, about 8 hours from this posting.
That number near my name will change. Argggg!
BTW: Everyone "says" I pass for 50ish. I attribute it to good genes and good living.

So that means in 8 days you will be an old 62 but in 10 days you be a YOUNG 63.
There's logic there somewhere...just don't ask me where.

Well BC , I am well into my sixty first year and just got done kicking Prostate Cancer and was doing well until I started the new storage building and (what seems like a million ) trips up and down the ladder has hosed my left knee. Always something eah ?
It would help if I wasn't doing it all myself I guess.

*Sigh*. Yes. My health issues have been on the upswing since mid-summer.

I've tried waiting on the 'Build It For Me Fairy', but somehow that just never works. :( Sure looks like a nice sized building. Hmmm. Are you sure it will be used for storage? What model railroad application.....

Mike, I understand bad joints better than most. I have a bad back, so bad that last week, my pregnant wife picked up the 35 pound (16 kilo) bag of dog food. I have broke 7 vertebrae in 3 accidents, and there have been days that I can not walk. I am only 37

I certainly understand. I had my first back injury at age thirteen. By the time I was twenty seven, I'd had two more. By a couple years more than your age, I'd added a broken neck. Etc, etc. Ugh. :(

Powerboat racing. A G-force incident which actually should have killed me. I punched the numbers into a calculator one time, and I cannot recall how many hundreds of multiples greater it was than what killed Dale Earnhardt. Scary.

A roughed up situation at the age of 17 with multiple back and neck injuries. At the age of 46 a back injury while on the job. You don't want to know how.

Otherwise I'm just getting older as each day passes. Had a Birthday this month. Just loads of fun, I said sarcastically.:rats:

I herniated my L5-S1 2 months before my 30th birthday then reinjured it exactly one year later and finally had surgery. Between that year and a thousands excuses I put on about 50lbs and so 8 years later I feel a lot older than my 38 years. Because of course in addition to the health problems with being overweight, I'm not doing my back any favors. And I could have stood to lose 30lbs before all that. And all I was doing when it happened was rolling out of bed and grabbing the 5lb. Jewelery box I got my wife for our anniversary. I love my wife, but it's kinda a pathetic story.

I had to do some serious walking today. A good amount of that on concrete, picking up a few household necessities. I had barely returned home, when the pain levels started rising, fast. Thankfully I have something available to dull this thrill. Otherwise, I'd be not moving at all right now.

Well with all the injuries listed here mine are suddenly insignificant. I have a pretty bad back from too many years of incorrect lifting. Now I have damaged vertebrae as a result. On a bad day I'm locked on a weird angle and find it hard to get dressed. I've recently turned 33 and the bad back makes playing with he kids a real challenge.

On the bright side , I rarely get sick or have problems dis-spite my 10 years of Motorcycle racing as a kid.
    I love my life!!!
